Editor's Column
Greetings Subscribers,
You must possess a passionate interest in softball to be reading this. I'm the same way. I've spent my life donating countless hours to youth leagues as a coach, umpire and board member. Then I head off to work as a sports writer.
Some people might think that makes me one-dimensional. I don't know. But when it comes to the sports I love, I've got plenty of ideas and opinions.
And now I get to share them.
I'll explore issues that aren't discussed anywhere else. Like the various ways drafts are conducted. The growing proliferation of travel teams and national tournaments. The treatment of umpires by irate parents.
There is no shortage of interesting topics. So many that I'll enlist other sports writers and experts to contribute columns too.
Hopefully by this time, you've combed through TheSportsCoach.com web site and gained a grasp on the wealth of instructional material offered. If you haven't, get to it. It's awesome!
You'll be alerted on the home page when a new Editor's Column is posted. Until then, take the field and have some fun.
